Up and Running Vibration Mentoring

How does the typical new vibration analyst feel right after completing instrument product and vibration analysis training?

The Up-and-Running Mentoring Program by Machinery Trend.  A CAT IV vibration instructor will assist you via live video sessions or in person. The goal is to assist you in developing your vibration program and database.

Program Highlights

The program starts with a summary of vibration fundamentals and is followed by:

​

  1. Personal assistance in developing a meaningful database from your machine list. If you have a database, we will evaluate and assist in its refinement.

  2. Common measurement parameters will be taught and then applied to your database.  They include:

​

  • Fmin

  • Fmax

  • Number of Spectral Lines

  • Averaging

  • Window type

  • Accelerometer sensitivity

  • Sensor power

  • Detection

​

  3. Overall and Band alarms will be taught and then applied to the common utility-type machines in your database.

  4. You will receive heavy SKF @ptitude analyst software practice while being monitored.

  5.Using a photo of each machine type, the best measurement locations will be selected.

  6.You will run routes, upload data, run reports, and learn to refine alarms.

Requirements for Video Sessions

  1. Computer with camera and internet capabilities

  2. @ptitude Analyst vibration software and the SKF Microlog

  3. Minimum of entry-level vibration training, basic computer skills, and basic experience with @ptitude Analyst

  4. Availability for three 8 hour sessions

​

  1. Working @ptitude Analyst vibration software and the SKF Microlog

  2. Minimum of entry-level vibration training, and basic computer skills.
